Celebrate Recovery (CR) In Person -
Wednesdays, 10:00 am - 11:30 am
This group works through Celebrate Recovery's Participant Guide 1: Stepping Out of Denial into God's Grace. Lessons focus on the first three of CR's Eight Principles Based on the Beatitudes, and the first three of CR's Twelve Steps and Their Biblical Comparisons. This is a beginner's group; no previous 12-step program experience is required. All are welcome!
TWH Big Book AA Meeting - Mondays, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
This study meets currently in-person and on Zoom and is open to the public as well as residents of The Way Homes. Join us as we discover practical wisdom in God’s Word!
Eight years ago, Liz R., an AA old-timer, brought a format for the Alcoholics Anonymous "Big Book" to The Way Homes where the group goes through the first 164 pages of the book in one year, including Dr. Bob's story. In January, the group starts at the beginning of the book and continues through the book during the year. During each reading, the meeting leader may point out topics of interest and share AA history for the discussion time that takes place after the reading. It is a great meeting to hear, absorb, and put into practice what was done in the early days of AA when there was a 93% recovery rate for alcoholism.
